This guy uses a solar powered pump to create water movement in the inlet where his oysters grow.
Solar pumps are highly useful in rural settings as a lot of energy is consumed when moving water around. Plus, power is often not available in remote locations so a common solution is to run a generator. This adds cost and ongoing maintenance into the picture. Solar pumps are a great solution.
